Exclusively released at NAMM 2017, The Pioneer Toraiz AS-1 analog synth features a single voice from the Prophet 6, and complete with two VCO'S, two VCF's. one VCA, two EGs and one LFO.
The Pioneer DJ TORAIZ AS-1 Monophonic Analog Synthesizer comes from a collaboration between experienced DJ and production equipment manufacturers Pioneer, and the legendary synthesizer creators Dave Smith Instruments.

So here we are at NAMM 2017 at Pioneer Professional Audio.
We’re really proud to introduce the new Toraiz AS-1, our new collaboration with Dave Smith synthesizers.
This is a monophonic synthesizer that has low pass filters, high pass filters, envelope attack and decay, low frequency oscillator and it has a 64 step sequencer and arpeggiator. It has also 7 effects on it – reverbs, echoes and filters.
It is completely 100% analog and it has the same device inside as the Prophet 06 by Dave Smith. It has 495 preset sounds that you can’t delete but you have 495 sounds that you can actually delete, so that’s nearly 1000 sounds in this little amazing machine.
For example, we’re are going play this pattern.
When you press a route note, it will change the whole pattern. This function, for live sets is amazing because you only have to play one key, the route key. You can edit the whole sound with the filters, and the touch strip will change some effects. I think it will change the high pass filter.
You can also press the arp function. You have 4 modes of arpeggiator up, down, up plus down and random.
It has MIDI in, MIDI out, and it has a foot switch. You can program the foot switch, to send notes and midi notes and also you can send midi to the Toraiz SP-16, which has a midi function, that you can edit sounds inside, through the touch screen of the Toraiz SP-16.
