This extraordinary guitar features a solid Sitka spruce top and white transparent sunburst finish over bleached sycamore. On the bound ebony fingerboard, highly figured green abalone whale tails mark the compass positions. The bound rosewood headstock features gold machines and a compass logo in rare woods. A mother-of-pearl and abalone rosette reflects the never-setting sun of the far north, the territory that inspired this design. Beautifully inlaid at the first fret, Acoustic Guitar's Tenth Anniversary logo adds the finishing touch.
The CPX15N blends an in-bridge L.R. Baggs piezo pickup with a condenser microphone mounted under the bridge plate—Yamaha's exclusive design—giving this guitar a bright, clear electric sound.
