Although I've had both the original Wampler Tumnus overdrive pedal (v1) and the Tumnus Deluxe overdrive for several years, I've never really compared them closely. Like most of you I just assumed the Deluxe is better in every scenario. But as I listened closely, I realized there's a certain magic with the original that is not easy to replicate with the Deluxe. The Deluxe is much more flexible, and usable in many more scenarios, but there's something about the original that is special. I hope you can hear that in this video.
