Pretty neat mod I encountered recently. It changes your bottom tone pot into a Blend pot which changes the tones available via the 5 way switch. No special parts or switches required. Here is the switching layout with the mod:

Blend on 0 (Stock)

1. Bridge
2. Bridge + Mid in parallel
3. Mid
4. Neck + Mid in parallel
5. Neck

Blend on 10

1. Bridge + Mid in series
2. Bridge + Mid in parallel and out of phase
3. Mid
4. Neck + Mid in parallel and out of phase
5. Neck + Mid in series
