Bad Religion songwriter and guitarist and Epitaph founder Brett Gurewitz might not consider himself to be punk rock these days, but it's still a deep-seeded part of him.

"Punk rock is in my DNA," said Gurewitz, who owns the punk and hardcore champion Epitaph Records. "So yeah, it’s important. It’s important in the same way to be there for my family. I’m not punk rock anymore. But it’s always there. It’s always there underneath. And I think that’s the same for anybody. Whatever the things that moved them, when they were forming, that stuff stays with them for their life, and for me that was punk rock."
