Employing arpeggios in solos can add a sophisticated edge to your playing, allowing you to outline chords and break out from straightforward scale-based patterns. And although they might sound daunting, arpeggios are actually simple to start exploring.
In this easy to follow video lesson, Elixir Strings artist Matt Wheeler demonstrates a two-note per string major 7th arpeggio that’s easy to move up and down the neck. He’ll also explain how to move just one note to turn it into a minor arpeggio shape that you can repeat across the strings.
Explaining why he’s a fan of Elixir Strings on his electric guitars, Matt says, “Elixir provides high quality, great sounding, long lasting strings that feel amazing under my fingers and help me connect to my instrument.”
Matt uses Elixir Strings Electric Optiweb 9-42 and Acoustic Phosphor Bronze Nanoweb 12-53
