Earlier this year, composers Zane & Jy-Perry Banks stopped by our Sydney Artist Showroom to try out the Tone Master amps and work on some original tunes.
The virtuosic brothers improvised their way through an effortless set of rowdy blues, chicken pickin’, and classic pedal steel country blues.

FULLERTON BLUES 0:06
“This improvisation pays homage to the SoCal city where Fender Musical Instrument Co. was founded in 1946 as well as to Leo fender's long time collaborator, George Fullerton (1923-2009), who played a significant, but lesser-known role, in designing the Stratocaster.

My first electric guitar was a Strat—I love them—and I especially love how they sound when plugged straight into a cranked Fender Amp. This improvisation is purely a vehicle to exhibit the majesty, honey, grit, and power of that classic Stratocaster-Deluxe reverb tone.” Zane Banks

INNER WEST NIGHTS 2:28
“This piece was inspired by my gigs in Sydney’s Inner Western suburbs. Quite often I would drive home from gigs to Chippendale and be singing melodies in the car that had been inspired by pieces I had played that night. I then decided to compose a piece dedicated to my life of gigging in Sydney.” Jy-Perry Banks

TAMWORTH BOUND 3:20
“Each year, I, and many other guitarists, take part in the ritual of driving to Tamworth Country Music Festival. Never in my wildest dreams would I consider going to Tamworth, or any other gig, without my Fender Telecaster and my Fender Deluxe Reverb. This video was recorded less a week after returning home from Tamworth so the gigs, the heat and that Fender tone was fresh in my ears; 'Tamworth Bound' is an improvisation based upon a very common country groove/chord changes, often played in Tamworth, which allows the Tele to do what does best.” Zane Banks

DOWN ON MY LUCK 5:01
“This piece is honoring the classic Fender Pedal Steel amp tone. It's reminiscent of classic country pieces of the 60's and 70's and showcases the lush full-bodied sound of the Fender Tonemaster amp.” Jy-Perry Banks
