At its tamest it is Pete at Leeds, all about dynamics and handpressure dirt --- and up from there it just gets richer and growlier and the whole range is useful. Pissed off HiWatt is the homage thats paid here. The first third of the H drive knob is were the actual Hiwatt feel flavor resides - past that is all gloriously grinding gravy ~~~ what if a Hiwatt went to 11 or 20 or ??? Very cool ! The middle knob is not a treble roll off like most tone controls... it has that effect, but it also changes the head room and 'impact' ~ its more like moving the mic in front of the cabinet which is really useful when recording or stage micing ..... Can be safely run at 8 ~ 12v.
Model 4H Overdrive/Distortion The new 4 knob Model H adds a treble control that allows the Model H to be tuned to a wider range of rigs. The new Treble control starts a little darker than the standard H and allows ample treble/upper mid adjustment. The Tone and Treble controls effect different parts of the circuit and combine to let you get the exact impact and definition you need for your rig. Voltage range is 8~12.
