Squier honors the godfather of alt-rock J Mascis with a brand new Jazzmaster. The Squire J. Mascis Jazzmaster is made in close collaboration with the man himself. The pickups, hardware and finish were all specified by Mascis. The result is a beautifull, vintage looking guitar with a massive sound.

First demand of Mascis was a super comfortable neck with a vintage vibe. So they used a satin-finish which feels very smooth. Other specs were a vintage white finish for the body, 60s headstock and a gold anodized pickguard. Next to the aesthetics, Masics knew exactly how the Squier J. Mascis Jazzmaster should sound; Big! The two single coils are a pleasant mix between a traditional Jazzmaster and P-90 pickups. So you get a little more output than a standard Jazzmaster, making it perfect for some serious rocking!
