This is a look back to when Tim and I were kids and I used my 1991 Washburn N4 "Davies" in our first studio recording together of original material.
This exact guitar was later owned by Nuno Bettencourt, who this line of guitars was obviously made for, and he calls it the "4N" in order to set it apart from his first N4. This is not only a time capsule for us, but is also the first instance of this somewhat Nfamous guitar being recorded, before ending up in more capable hands many, many years later.
These 2 incomplete songs were recorded in 1992 as part of our effort to find other musicians and gain some recording experience. It was so long ago I hardly feel like the same kind of player anymore. They are what they are though, and this is where my skills and tastes had progressed to at that time.
