A lot of people ask whether you should boost your drive or drive your boost. Hmm...
We set two pedals side by side, and switched their order to see what the results were. Sure, they’re subtle but they’re interesting nonetheless.
The pedals we used were an Ibanez TS808 Tube Screamer with Keeley Mod Plus with true bypass; a Free The Tone Final Booster, and a Free The Tone Heat Blaster Distortion.
On reflection, less gain and a different amp (it’s a Marshall JTM45) would have made the differences much more marked, but hey, this is how it came out!
