The Boss SY-1000 guitar synthesizer and multi-effects processor marks a new chapter in BOSS guitar synth innovation, uniting decades of research with modern software and hardware advancements to create their most advanced guitar/bass synth and modeling processor to date. A premium sound engine, ultra-fast DSP, and GK pickup compatibility allow the SY-1000 to deliver unique tones that follow all the nuances of your playing.
Layer up to three sounds per patch—from warm pads, to evolving textures, to acoustic tones—with the highly-responsive Dynamic Synth, which also includes two 16-part step sequencers for control of pitch, filter, and amplitude. In addition there are refreshed versions of historic BOSS/Roland guitar synth and modeling technologies (OSC Synth, GR-300, E.Guitar, E.Bass, Acoustic, VIO Guitar, and Poly FX) as well as premium effects and amps from the GT-1000. While the SY-1000 works with a standard 1/4" cable, a Roland GK-compatible pickup and 13-pin cable is required to take full advantage of its capabilities.
All of these features are centered around a large LCD interface with eight freely assignable footswitches. With the configurable outputs and external controls you can maximize the hardware for any workflow. Additionally, the guitar-to-MIDI/bass-to-MIDI function opens up even more options for note-entry and beat-making.
