Welcome to ProGuitarShop and ToneReport.com. Today we're checking the pulse on the Supro Tremolo. The Supro Tremolo recreates an actual amplifier inside the pedal, delivering the ultimate in amp-like trem. The toggle switch offers two distinct modes to recreate every classic trem sound ever committed to tape. Amplitude mode offers a more traditional tremolo sound normally achieved by modulating the bias of the amplifier power tubes, resulting in a warm, swampy trem sound. Harmonic mode approximates classic Fender Brownface tremolo that sounds very phaser-like as slow settings and vibey and fast speeds. The pedal is divided into preamp and power amp sections, complete with real-deal output transformer which delivers real magnetic saturation, the missing ingredient from almost all amp trem pedals. The onboard Gain control allows you to open the floodgates and send the preamp signal slamming into the power amp section, overdriving it and giving you pure overdriven trem tones. The Supro Trem contains a jack for an expression pedal, which controls the Speed knob. When plugging the expression pedal in, you can use the pedal's Speed control to set the maximum amount of sweep to get it right where you want it. And like all Supro pedals, the Tremolo is made right here in the States with the best parts available anywhere.
