It’s Dan & Mick’s Not Entirely Serious Blindfold Kloncher Challenge!
Daniel Steinhardt and Mick Taylor challenge each other to tell the difference between a Klon Centaur and a J Rockett Audio Designs Archer, in a game hosted by Hameshow Ghost, Tick Maylor.
Dan and Mick play a selection of phrases for the other to hear, using a Fender American Vintage Stratocaster, Fender ’63 Custom Shop Telecaster and a 1961 Gibson SG Junior. They play the sound straight into the amp, then the same thing using the Klon Centaur and the J Rockett Archer. Question is: which is which?
Both pedals are connected to a QuarterMaster 4 true bypass loop switcher by TheGigRig, so when one is on, the other is totally out of the circuit.
The amplifier used in this video is a Mystery Amp Special that we’ll reveal on tomorrow night’s episode of Tones For Tache.
While Daniel and Mick's reactions might not be entirely serious, the pedals are recorded straight up, properly and seriously, so you can listen, compare and make your own minds up!
