"One evening I was sitting out on my front porch playing my guitar and trying to come up with a new tuning to mess around with, when suddenly the calm and dark grey clouds opened into a brilliant Autumn shower of rain! This storm must have lasted about fifteen minutes or so. I sat there under the eve of my porch and calmly took it all in. Rain is one of my favorite things in the world! When the storm had passed a small amount of golden sun emerged through the depleted clouds and an immense amount of birds started singing praises all around me. I was so moved by everything that the music started flowing out of my guitar, as though I had already known how to play the song or something... it all sorta just came at once! I knew this tune was simple and sweet, just like the storm and the song of the birds, and I decided to call it "After The Rain"."
