I hardly ever buy new gear. Almost always it is used in some way. Either on craigslist, facebook, ebay, or even at the local pawn shop. In this video I give three tips on how to get stuff cheaper at pawn shops. It all comes down to knowing what the pawn shop knows. If you can figure our how much they payed for the item, then you can calculate the best deal.
1. Know how much their lowest sell price is,
2. Know what they payed for it,
3. Calculate your offer. In my experience you can almost always pay 75% of the ticket price and often much lower. Pawn shops are a great place to buy used musical gear and items of all kinds. With these simple tips you will not get ripped off again.
