This Private Stock P24 Trem Semi-Hollow has some incredible cuts of wood. The top and back are both one-piece cuts of quilted maple. The middle wood is mahogany, which balances out some of maple’s natural highs. The Pattern neck is made from East Indian Rosewood, which provides a natural, smooth feel and also lets you feel the vibrations of the music in your playing hand more than usual. The fretboard is Brazilian Rosewood, quite possibly the best tonewood in the world.

This axe is decked out with limitless electronic options. It has two PRS 53/10 pickups that deliver a clear, articulate sound through any amp setting. There is an LR Baggs Piezo as well, so you can get great acoustic sounds without changing guitars. There are two outputs on the P24: one for regular magnetic humbucking or humbucking/piezo mix, and the other for pure piezo. Run one to an amp and one to a PA, or run both to different amps – it’s up to you.

Aesthetically, this guitar is dressed to the nines. The Blue Fade finish gives the quilt patterns an oceanic, seamless look with plenty of depth. The inlays are Paua birds with white Mother of Pearl outlines, which really jump off the neck against the dark fretboard. Hybrid hardware, a Brazilian Rosewood headstock veneer and a single F-hole complete the look: Bold, artistic and lively.
