Industrial, punk, goth, broken, heavy, grime, nasty, gnarly, disgusting.... Call it what you will but the Geiger Counter Pro cannot be beaten when it comes to smashing drums into oblivion.
In this video, we square up the WMD Geiger Counter Pro with The Roland TR8 Drum machine. We're using classic 808 and 909 sounds as the base and then the GCP as a way to generate something new from these iconic sounds. From subtle to completely mangled chaos, the Geiger Counter Pro makes for an awesome addition to any producer's hardware rig.
2 CV inputs allow for it to be controlled directly with a eurorack system or 5u modular synthesizer modules. Here, we are adding another element of control by using the WMD Protostar as a CV and Filter Source.
The Geiger Pro has an all analog preamp that adds warm awesome distortion before running your signal into an analog to digital converter where you can then reduce the bit depth and sample rate.
The wavetable function takes your incoming wave and attempts to convert it into a wave set by a table of parameters. This makes for some wild behavior when running drums through this pedal!
