For the sake of example, I used the common selector switch tip from every Gibson. I prefer mine not to be black and I have some of the material I need to do this laying around, as a DIYer. Maybe you're the same and you want to change up something on your guitar. It's easy. Give it a try with a small part like this. You can always strip the paint if you mess it up or don't like it and put on a coat of clear to bring back up a black part to it's original shine.
