Originally introduced in 1958 with the equally futuristic (at the time) Flying V, the offset Gibson Explorer casts a striking shadow. The all-mahogany Explorer features specially calibrated Burstbucker 2 (neck) and Burstbucker 3 (bridge) pickups. These pickups offer classic PAF-inspired tone, with just a bit more edge to them, making the Explorer the perfect guitar for heavier rock sounds.
The Gibson Explorer has a set SlimTaper mahogany neck, with comfortable 12" radius, rosewood fingerboard with 22 Medium Jumbo frets and acrylic trapezoid inlays. The Explorer features a Graph Tech nut and Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners.
The gloss nitrocellulose-finished Explorer is available in Antique Natural.
Playing by Michael Eisenstein.
