Randy Rhoads Pentatonic Lick - Suicide Solution Solo - Guitar Lesson - Guitar Instruction and Breakdown
Many of us often wonder what life would have been like if some of the most talented and influential people in this world hadn't been taken from us so early in their lives. This is definitely a thought pondered by many when it comes to the topic of the great Randy Rhoads. By the age of 25 (the time of his unfortunate passing) he had recorded some of what are still considered some of the greatest guitar riffs. He had played with two of the most popular bands at the time ... Ozzy Osbourne and Quiet Riot.
To say the least ... Randy Rhoads was guitar royalty at a really early age and we could only imagine his dominance of the guitar community would have continued for many years to come. He had so much to offer from his aggressive soul sucking rock to his beautifully composed classical pieces.
In this lesson the Carl Culpepper will breakdown an amazingly cool riff that Randy Rhoads tears through at the end of the Suicide Solution track that can be found on the Ozzy Osbourne Randy Rhoads Tribute album. This is a great repeating pentatonic/blues scale lick that has a few little twists in its patterns sequence.
If you like learning Randy Rhoads stuff make sure you subscribe and stick around. Carl will be doing several more lessons on him in the future, including hopefully the entire solo from this suicide solution track.
Also for all you gear heads ... in this lesson Carl is running his '95 Les Paul Standard with Dimarzio 36th anniversary PAF's through a Maxon od9 pedal into a Marshall class 5 amp into a Marshall 4x12 cab filled with Celestion g12T 75 T speakers.
