We are thrilled present a new video with guitar virtuoso Vixen’s Diary! Vixen currently plays guitar with Halsey and is a solo artist under the name Vixen’s Diary. In this demo, they show off the new Zoar Dynamic Audio Grinder, highlighting 4 distinct sounds you can get using the highly interactive passive 3 band EQ. Using a Kemper Profiler, they demonstrate how Zoar sounds through a variety of amp profiles to show the variety of tones you can dial in. Vixen is a master of using this pedal creatively and interactively!
In the first sound, they dial back the level to emulate a smaller amp with a low gain distortion, which can be useful in quiet interludes or song intros. This setting scoops out a lot of bass, boosts the mids, and cranks the treble all the way up, creating a pretty and delicate tone.
The second setting is a smooth and creamy fuzz sound. Here, the gain and weight are dimed, as are the bass and mid settings, with the treble all the way down.
The third setting is a low pass filter effect, which cuts out the highs and cuts some level to use for quiet moments like intros or leading into breakdowns.
The fourth setting is a “frequency shift” and is used interactively with the beloved Bit Commander. This setting has the gain and treble fully cranked, and when turned on and off rhythmically with the Bit Commander activated, sounds like the Zoar brings in an octave up.
Enjoy recreating these sounds with your Zoar! Thanks so much to Vixen for taking the time to demonstrate these amazing sounds.
