Welcome back to ProGuitarShop and ToneReport.com. Today we're heading into the Oblivion Vintage Delay from Alexander Pedals. Alexander has escalated from Amnesia to full-on Oblivion, radically enhancing the Amnesia's feature set for a premium analog-modeling experience. Typically, feature-rich delay pedals require a significant time investment with time spent cycling through menus and banks, but the Oblivion sounds great right out of the box at any setting. The oblivion's expression control is a breeze, while remaining extremely powerful. Any of the unit's five knobs can be controlled simultaneously with just one expression pedal, allowing for advanced delay control unlike anything on the market. The Oblivion's four modes cover the full range of classic analog delay, including Analog, Tape, Oilcan and Multihead. Five presets can be saved and recalled instantly by pressing and holding the tap button, and several hidden parameters can be accessed by holding the Select button. These controls are set-and-forget types but give players control over all facets of the pedal, including tone, modulation waveforms and output level. The Oblivion's expression jack can be reconfigured for an external tap tempo switch that helps keep pedalboard wiring tidy. A MIDI jack on the back dramatically expands the presets to 128, and lets players sync the Oblivion to a master clock.
