Meet the all new Supro 1648RT Saturn Reverb, a 15-watt, Class A, 1x12 combo designed around portability, vintage breakup at reasonable volumes, and world-class tube reverb and tremolo. The Saturn Reverb achieves these design goals with a pair of 6973 tubes, which are known for producing big, musically compressed clean tones, as well as rude, richly harmonic grind when pushed into saturation. Tube rectification, via a 5U4 rectifier, lends to the circuit's tactile nature and responsiveness to subtle variations in guitar volume and playing techniques. The stars of the show, however, might be the tube-powered reverb, which is based around a 17 inch, 4-spring reverb pan, and the output tube powered tremolo circuit, which gives the Saturn a lush, swampy wobble that you won't get from an pedal. The reverb circuit features all-tube drive and recovery stages, resulting in an uncommonly warm, organic ambience that never overwhelms the note, even when the amp is dimed. The amplifier's feature set is rounded out with a lightweight, vintage correct cabinet upholstered in Supro's signature Blue Rhino Hide tolex, and a custom designed Supro/Eminence 12" ceramic magnet speaker, contributing to both its classy retro appearance, and its complex range of tones. Like all Supro amps, the 1648RT Saturn Reverb is made in the USA, featuring custom-designed transformers and precisely matched, military-spec tubes.
