I'm thinking about doing a series of guitar covers of songs that played a big influence on me as a teenager. As far as Rush goes, there were many songs, but this one has always been a sort of touchstone or baseline for guitar tone with me, and also the song is just incredible. It has enough progressiveness to be musically challenging, but is also tightly constructed and melodic.

Amps used: Egnater Rebel 20 (dirty rhythm, lead), Vox Night Train 15 (clean), each amp with a Mesa/Boogie 2x12 cab.

Pedals: T-Rex Moller (juices up the Egnater for the lead), MXR Line Booster (puts some grit into the Vox Night Train), MXR Carbon Copy (Lead delay), t.c.electronic Nova Delay (special effect at end of solo to sustain note), t.c.electronic Hall of Fame (Reverb for Vox Night Train), T-Rex Tonebug (Reverb for Egnater Rebel), Radial BigShot ABY (amp switching).
