Welcome back to ProGuitarShop and ToneReport for a second trip to Keeley’s Caverns. The Caverns V2 is a fully-equipped time and space travel device that gives you two full-featured pedals in one box with individual footswitching. Two separate pedals of four knobs and one toggle switch each give you everything you want out of a delay-reverb combo with no stone left unturned. The right side of the Caverns V2 is the Keeley Mag Echo, an expertly-voiced tape delay emulation machine that serves up 650 milliseconds of warm, vintage-soaked tones. The small toggle on the delay side introduces adjustable tape-like modulation, from a pristine, fresh-off-the-line unit all the way through a worn-down studio doorstop. The Reverb side of the Caverns V2 gives a fresh control set, featuring a Warmth knob that darkens up any digital brightness generated by the reverb algorithms. Three modes of Reverb come standard on the Caverns V2. For vintage tones, a drippy spring reverb, styled after classic Fender “blackface” verb sounds, is included with an integrated tremolo that you can adjust into the tails. A Modulated reverb mode gives you some subtle sway in the background to compliment your tone by way of a chorus on the wet signal, while the Shimmer mode smashes the reverb sound into particles which are shifted up an octave for an ethereal tone that will liven up any riff. An internal trails/true bypass switch gives you the option of letting the footswitch choke off the trailing signal or keep it going even after the unit is switched off. And just like all Keeley pedals, the Caverns V2 is hand-forged by folks right here in the USA.
