Marc Najjar demonstrates this 1974 Rickenbacker 4005 In the mid-'60s, Rickenbacker created the 4005 bass, looking to combine their successful hollowbody guitars (as used by George Harrison and the Byrds) and basses (used by Paul McCartney). What they came up with was typically striking, bizarre, and tasteful. The 4005 was produced through the '70s, and here we have a great example of one that plays great, has no structural issues, and looks fantastic, while being a little unusual itself.
