The Boss pocket GT is the follow up from the JS series guitar trainers, how is it improved? and what about playing YouTube videos? How well does it cope?

The Boss pocket GT effects unit come trainer is the newest of a long line of trainer devices for guitarists since the eBand JS-8 and JS-10. This latest one has some extra incredible features not found on any other device that I know of. There are amps and speakers, loads of effects, 99 presets and you can also use this with the Tone Central that Roland Boss set up online for budding guitarists. It's a great device for sure.
But are there any issues? It looks great wherever you look at reviews from 'sponsored' channels or dealers or even Roland Boss themselves. But those sort of presentations don't always show you every feature and benefit or indeed sometimes less than perfect aspects of the gear under review.
In this review though I take you through the main features, I show what's inside and out of the pocket GT and how it has been made; and cover the internet and other aspects of connectivity and show the tone central main features along with the YouTube section which is a great idea in itself.
I do also show example sounds from the unit and play over a track so you get an idea of how the pocket GT sounds. The audio has not been changed in any way and was recorded direct to the recording desk.
Understanding the device is one thing, but being a pocket type of product it will get subjected to being thrown around a little and how robust this unit is has to be questioned with an unbiased opinion.
I also offer a score out of ten as I often do and you might be surprised at the score that this little device achieves especially for the money.
I also reviewed a GT-1 from Roland Boss some while ago which this pocket GT is based on and you might want to go and check my independent review out on that - its a great effects unit here: https://youtu.be/gnVwNlpUUTs

I bought this Boss pocket GT personally and the manufacturers have had no input whatsoever. My opinions are that of any ordinary person buying one of these products and concluding what I did - completely unbiased.
