The Black Cat Pedals Mona was designed by Black Cat Pedals. Joe Gagan helped out by making a custom spec inductor for Black Cat, which is pretty cool. But more importantly, he developed a truly revolutionary design for the wah pot. The traditional approach has always been focused on the value and taper of the wah pot. Joe’s approach was to change the actual ratio of the gear, which no one has EVER done since the first Clyde McCoy was introduced in 1967. The Deluxe Mona Wah has three knobs for Input Gain, Frequency control and Q Control. By tweaking the Frequency and Q you can get anything from traditional Wah tones to a very cool Pedal-steel Swell. There is a toggle for Buffer on/ Buffer off in case you want to run your Mona in front of a Fuzz pedal. And the Deluxe Mona Wah has a three way voicing toggle For Traditional, Fat and a thin wah tone that is great for cocked Wah tones.
