Marshall developed a 'Signature' series of amplifiers for the kings of guitar including Hendrix, Slash, Malmsteen & Joe Satriani with designer Santiago Alvarez from Marshall. This RE-VISIT to the Marshall JVM410HJS Satriani amplifier shows everything you would ever want to know about this great tube amp.
In this review I re-visit the Joe Satriani amplifier with easily the most complete 'Inside and Out' close up that I am well known for on YouTube. This amp was bought by me for this review and there is playing in the video to show some of the sounds available. An ordinary persons opinion without sales incentives. Described further below the contents and other links below.

Other information
I was really looking forward to this review at the time back at least eight years ago and decided to take a far more in depth review than I did at that time - a sort of 're-visit'. Why? well this amp is - like most in the signature series of products getting rarer and rarer and many guys will tell you that channel two in the 'red' mode make this amplifier probably the best Marshall rock amp ever made.
Where do we start with an amp like this?
This is a heavy amp at nearly 48 lbs in weight, but don't let that bother you. You can only buy these used these days and I can guarantee you will get value for your money... but don't take too long in finding one because these amps (along with all the signature amps) are going up in price these days.
There's also a limited edition too with 'blue or purple vinyl' and a 4x12 cab that claims different speakers. Maybe they are but my 1960a cab worked perfectly on this amp. The Limited edition originally cost £2199.00 in the UK and from what I see it was also available in the USA. I could only guess at the high prices they would ask at the time. I did see one of these with cab brand new 'clearance' (in July 2015) for the princely sum of £1400 (or $2100) which was a bargain.
There were only 500 pieces of this limited edition amp to be made. Note that apart from the vinyl and the cab, the amp circuitry is exactly the same as the standard amp under review here.
