Welcome to the summer of reverb. The Golden Summer by Alexander Pedals combines three high-resolution reverb algorithms into one box with a mode-specific knob for each. Each mode evokes warmth and clarity without sacrificing sound quality, due in part to the crystal clear 24-bit onboard processor. The sounds available from the Golden Summer range from a nostalgia-evoking gentle modulated verb to a spaced-out echo, and even dream inducing Shimmer reverb. There's also a true or buffered bypass option to let players choke off the decay when disengaged or let it flow when bypassed. The Tweak control is interesting, as it is essentially off when turned to noon, but can either be rolled backwards of forwards for different effects. In Modulated mode, the tweak knob controls chorus speed on the left and vibrato speed on the right. Either octave up and down are possible with the tweak knob in Shimmer mode, and in echo mode, tweak controls the level and tone of the repeats, from murky and dark to bright and percussive.
