To many players, the 28 series is the quintessential Martin range. If you think ‘Martin acoustic’, the chances are it’ll be a 28 series Dreadnought or similar that’ll spring to mind. This OM is a great example.
Orchestral models (OM) are the choice for players who enjoy the single note projection of 000 bodies but need more body and low end, like a dreadnought. In many ways they are the best of both worlds. You'll get a great 'scooped' tone with this: in other words, lots of sparkle, lots of bass and less mids. This is why it's popular with single note styles and fingerpickers.
