An MTET (Midi to Expression Translator) Demonstration Video Featuring Andy Othling

Andy Othling is a friend and frequent collaborator of OBNE. MTET was actually pretty much his idea. So here Andy is, utilizing MTET to control expression parameters on OBNE pedals and a Montreal Assembly Count To 5. Andy is running a session in Ableton and using a Max For Live plug-in he created for MTET* to affect parameters the OBNE Flat Light Flanger, Dark Star, and even tempo-sync the Float Filter using an LFO.

What is MTET? A device that interprets MIDI Control Change messages and converts them into expression-readable information, allowing the user to integrate OBNE effectors into their MIDI workflow. If that sounds like a bunch of malarky and scares you away altogether, that's alright. MTET is a gateway into MIDI, so if you decide to come back, MTET and OBNE will be waiting.
