This Used 2004 Fender® Custom Shop Chris Fleming Masterbuilt Custom Telecaster® Thinline is in on trade and it is in great shape. It comes from a routine customer who always treats gear very well. The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned and the truss rod is functioning properly. Included with the guitar is the original hardshell case and certificate of authenticity. This is a great guitar with a particularly cool story attached to it. A few years ago, this guitar was stolen from one of our good customers. The original owner contacted us and let us know some of his gear went missing. Fast forward a few months, a kid walks into our shop with this guitar and another we had special ordered for the customer. I recognized the guitars and called the owner while the kid was here asking questions. The owner showed up and was able to reclaim his guitars!
It's been 7 or 8 years since this happened and now it's time for this guitar to find a new home. It is a Masterbuilt Telecaster Thinline built by Chris Fleming. The Chunky Neck features a 10/56 profile with a rather hard V in the 1st position. By the 7th fret, the V is smoothing out a touch. The neck fills out as you work your way up. It is made from a highly figured piece of Maple. It has a 7.25" radius and Medium Jumbo frets for easy bends and vibrato. The Nocaster Pickups have all the early 50's mojo anyone could want. With Alnico 3 Magnets, Enamel Coated Wire and tin plated copper base, these pickups might as well have been made in 1951! While it isn't mentioned on the Certificate of Authenticity, it is a Relic. The finish is very heavily weather checked and there are some dings, dents and small chips in the finish to help complete the aged look.
