Welcome to "Friends Pick Friday" at Emerald City Guitars! From time to time we're going to have some of the incredibly talented friends of the shop come in to hang and check out some awesome guitars!
Today we have Tim Lerch with a pair of old blonde archtops! A player in high demand, Tim is a killer blues and jazz musician. Not only does Tim perform with the group Pearl Django, he also has many online guitar lessons on his site, and even teaches privately.
Even though he's normally found with a Telecaster, we put two fantastic old Gibson archtops into Tim's hands, and plugged him into a classic blackface Fender Vibrolux Reverb. To be more specific, a 1957 Gibson ES-350T and a 1959 Gibson ES-5 Switchmaster.
Sit back and enjoy the sounds as Mr. Lerch shows us the type of great sounds these two guitars can put out!
