The WMD Geiger Counter Civilian is a stripped down version of our flagship guitar effects pedal, the Geiger Counter. It features a super simple interface, 16 preset tone styles which are essentially knob positions we dig on the regular GC, as well as a lo-fi mode for each preset for a total of 32 presets! Bit crushing, high gain, digital destruction.
We get lots of questions and comments about drum machines or drums in general and our guitar pedals. "How do they sound?" "Do I need anything special to do this?" "Will I hurt the pedal if I plug something like a synth or a drum machine straight into it?"
Our answer is always the same, "you can't hurt anything, just GO FOR IT!" It's a good common practice to turn down the output of your drum machine and bring it up to where the tone sounds good. Unfortunately, I didn't show this part in the video, but it's pretty self explanatory.
In this video, we make a beat and crush the shit out of it with the GCCI. No talking, no bull.
