An ES-335 with P-90s and a Bigsby has long been high on our Gibson wishlist. This Luther Dickinson signature model captures the mojo of a vintage-style ES-330, with the added bonuses of a feedback-suppressing solid maple centre block and the ES-335's better upper-fret access. North Mississippi Allstars guitarist Dickinson envisaged an ES-330-style guitar to "handle the rock 'n' roll environment", and that's certainly the case here, although the warm-toned Alnico II 'dog ear' P-90 pickups are most at home with rootsy overdrive, open tunings and slide work rather than mega-gained modern amp tones.
