“Songs For Charlie - Volume 1” was inspired by the loss of Charlie Ternan, a dear friend of LA-born singer and songwriter Jack Symes.

Charlie’s parents, Ed and Mary Ternan, started the 501c3 non-profit Song for Charlie soon after with the mission to raise awareness about the emerging dangers of self-medication and casual drug use in the fentanyl era. They also work with kids and schools to raise awareness and encourage healthier strategies for coping with stress.
Benefitting the organization, Jack Symes has curated a group of 9 artists and friends to contribute covers of Charlie’s favorite songs for this album covers album "Songs For Charlie – Volume 1".
