The Amptweaker DeFizzerator is a simple passive eq that rolls off extremely high frequencies, and can be used with pedals or in the effects loop of an amp, to tame the 'Fizz', or to remove harsh edge if your speaker tends to be too bright for heavy distortion. In this video, I patched it into the loop of a 5150 block letter, into a 412 cab with Vintage 30s, and used a Peavey Vandenberg into the amp. The amp tones were recorded using an m-Audio Microtrak with the built-in mic, and the video using an iPhone. $60 available NOW.
