Katana Artist is the latest in the Katana range of amps but features significant changes & tweaks that set it a cut above the rest of the amp range. The Katana Artist is not just another model in the line-up but a re-tuned, custom voiced Katana Amplifier designed for
Home, Studio and Stage Use. It is a plug and play, simple amp with detailed and rich tone but delve a little further and you get a fully customisable amp with incredible control.
Most importantly the Katana Artist features the Boss WAZA CRAFT SPEAKER. A proprietary speaker built from the ground up to provide the ultimate performance speaker with a vintage heritage.
Several speakers from several eras, such as pre-Rola Celestions ‘Greenbacks’, were tested for performance and sound. Taking these speakers and using advanced technology and many hours with well-trained ears we analysed no less than 26 different elements including the microscopic paper fibres and glue, to create a speaker that has a great classic sound but modern performance, perfect for a contemporary amplifier.
Thanks to custom speaker coils this speaker easily handles 100 watts with plenty of headroom. Featuring a CRISP HIGH END, FULL THICK LOWS all the while maintaining clarity and detail no matter what gain level and perfectly interacting with you the player, the amps volume, your picking and dynamics.

The CABINET has been re-designed, still light weight is bigger and thicker than its counterparts. Allowing for more resonance and bottom end. A SEMI-CLOSED back design was thoroughly tested to find the best spot to allow you a classic combo, open, airy sound
but maintain punch of low end of a fully closed back design. A front loaded, easy to use panel makes creating your sound quick and easy.
Authentic, easy to use THREE BAND TONE STACK, the EQ is very active and allows for a much wider sweep than other amps on the market – this really allows you to dial in the tonal sweet spot.
With the live performer and studio musician in mind an added RESONANCE control to the front panel gives you varying types of cab resonance for different low-end options, LINE OUT “AIR FEEL” gives you different virtual mic settings for optimum front of house sound.
It’s Professional I/O gives you a full FX loop (which can be re-ordered in a signal chain) USB for detailed recording and external Midi control.
The GA-FC then allows you on the fly, hand free access to eight pre-sets, FX and more. USB then gives you access to Boss Tone Studio where the amp can then be fully customised to suit your needs.
