Cutting through ABS is no problem for a desktop CNC machine. Use a low flute count and don't go so fast or too deep that everything starts to heat up and melt. It comes out perfect with a nice finish.

Using a Sainsmart Genmitsu ProverXL 4030, completely stock, cutting into a Hammond small plastic enclosure.
