This fifty-two-year-old Blond beauty with a solid ash body weighs just 7.50 lbs. Huge '57 style fretted maple V "boat-neck" with 21 frets and black dot position markers. Neck dated in pencil "7-56" and pickup cavity dated "6/57". One single-coil pickup in the bridge position with a huge output of 7.03k. Potentiometers both dated January 1957. Esquire/Telecaster combined bridge/tailpiece with three smooth steel saddles. Original "ashtray" bridge cover. There is some surface wear to the fretboard and the neck has been expertly re-fretted, but overall, this fifty-two year-old gem is one of the nicest '57 Esquires that we have ever seen! The Blond finish has mellowed to a rich, creamy color and the lovely grain of the ash body shows well through the finish. Housed in it's original Fender "Tweed" hardshell case with brown leather ends and red plush lining (8.00)
