Today we're taking a look at another one of the beautiful Gold Top Les Paul's we have in the shop, and todays is a P90 equipped 1956 Les Paul Standard! This comes in just prior to the changeover to PAF pickups in the Les Paul Standard, and it certainly has a different sound! This one is all original with the exception of an excellent refret and new nut by our friend Eric Daw, and a repro tailpiece. While we do have a gold-back version of a 1956 Les Paul, this one is a dark back version. A gorgeous guitar with great sound, and today James is running it through a 2009 Victoria Golden Melody 2x12 combo.
