This is my build of Madbean's Stage Fright -- a Maestro phaser shrunken down into a (crammed) 125B enclosure. It's capable of extremely intense phaser sounds.
My main mod to this circuit -- besides retrofitting an LM13700 chip in place of the two CA3080 chips -- is a "sweep" control to change the frequencies modulated. It's super easy, just replacing Q2's source and drain with a blue LED and 250K pot wired in series. (The anode of the LED goes toward the drain's spot on the PCB.) As an added bonus, you can put the LED external and it'll get brighter or darker with the sweep. :)
Even though I messed up this project the first time I built it, there's not a ton of stuff that can go wrong, but it's a bit of a challenge to fit it in the case, so take your time when you tackle this one.
