In this episode we will demo an old legend: a 1969 Marshall Super Bass JMP head.
This head is a metal panel head (same circuit than the plexi ones) point to point circuit board.
The circuit has no mod in it but a "Lar/Mar" master volume and a "Zero Loss" fx loop. Both master and effect loop are completly bypassed during this demo.
Only electrolytic capacitors have been changed for new ones (it is an usual and almost mandatory change to do on head that old).
The Head is connected right into a Two Notes Torpedo live (http://www.two-notes.com/en/hardware/torpedo-live/) loaded with a Marshall 70s 4x12 cabinet Greenback G12M prerola (75Hz) Ownhammer impulse from this pack: http://www.ownhammer.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=164&products_id=372 .
We only used one pedal during the demo when you can see it on screen. We used a J Rockett Archer as a "almost clean" boost (http://rockettpedals.com/product/archer-overdrive-boost/). This pedale is a Klon Centaur clone.
We used as least post fx after the sound recording as we could: no EQ, no compression.
The room reverb is from the Torpedo live.
We applied a very transparet limiter on the master bus at the end to achieve an acceptable volume in the video.
The sound you hear on this video is the exact one we were hearing on our monitors while tracking it.
We hope, you'll enjoy it!
