Through close collaboration with ZZ Top front man and Rock 'n' Roll legend, Gibson Custom is proud to introduce the Billy Gibbons Goldtop Les Paul Aged—a Goldtop that stands out both sonically and visually in comparison to any other Goldtop Les Paul in it's 60+ year history. The one-piece chambered, genuine light mahogany body lays beneath a hard maple top that's finished in antique gold, just as any Goldtop, but boasts an original pinstripe design, designed by Reverend Willy G himself. The remarkable pinstripe design is meticulously painted onto each guitar top by the steady hands of acclaimed artist Rick Harris and a Gibson Custom artist that was trained by Harris himself. This Billy Gibbons Goldtop is also aged by hand and has the added kitsch of a Texas-shaped "buckle rash" wear pattern that adorns the back. The genuine mahogany neck features a maple spline, and is carved into the exacting profile of BFG's own Goldtop Les Paul. The one-piece Indian rosewood fingerboard is topped off with a nylon nut and houses aged nitrocellulose trapezoid inlays for a classic aesthetic.
