This is a new twist on an established model from Music Man. This is an Axis Super Sport in terms of body shape and specs but it is a semi hollow body. The guitar is loaded with a pair of custom Dimarzio Pickups that can provide you with everything from a warm, rich, thick neck tone to bright, brash and cutting with the bridge pickup. The lightly figured Maple Neck on this guitar feels smooth and dry thanks to it's Oil and Wax finish. This is the kind of guitar that sounds so great no matter what you do with it. The compact body feels great in your lap or around your neck and the fact that the guitar weighs in at only 6 lbs 4 oz certainly doesn't hurt either!
