You’ve heard of “That Great Gretsch Sound”—well, here’s a vintage 1957 Gretsch Silver Jet in Silver Sparkle that we think embodies “That Great Gretsch Look,” to match! After the first Duo Jet models debuted in black in 1953, on the heels of another well-known solid-body guitar with a single cutaway from Gibson, some of guitar designers at the Gretsch factory started looking into other parts of the factory for a way to make the Duo Jet design stand out from the crowd. Watch this video to Zach’s explanation of how this almost all-original guitar ended up with that eye-catching shimmer you see 65 years later!
