This Fender® Custom Shop Todd Krause Master built 62 Stratocaster Heavy Relic in Graffiti Yellow over Black features excellent play ability with with big clean tone.
Todd Krause has always built killer guitars. With this one he put a cool Graffiti Yellow finish over Black giving this guitar a very vintage vibe. The hand wound 60's pickups are smokin! Big, fat tone with excellent clarity in all positions. The bridge pickup has a nice sparkle with just a touch of grit. Highs are crystal clear and lows have plenty of thump. The neck pickup is smooth and clean with terrific definition. Tone is similar to Hendrix or SRV. Great for clean rhythm and smooth distorted leads. Great sustain and the low end stays well defined. The 2 and 4 positions have a nice quack that isn't too overpowering. Good for blues and rock leads and even some country picking. The middle pickup is a nice balance of the brighter bridge pickup with the warmer neck pickup. The 60's Oval neck profile is not too fat and not too thin. Very easy to play. 9.5" radius and 6105 frets make fast riffs and big bends a real breeze to play.
