Bass Effects and MIDI - Adam Aarts Pedalboard Rundown 2014

A quick run through of my effects and MIDI presets. All effects are done by a combination of a Line 6 M5, Source Audio Manta and OFD controlled via MIDI. The MIDI controller is a Digitech RP-1, no audio is passed through it, only used for the MIDI functions.

The SA pedals are controlled by the Source Audio Hub. This box allows MIDI connectivity and easy saving of presets. The M5 connects directly via MIDI cable and switches effects depending on the patch. Most are an Octaver Effect on bypass that way I can kick it on if I need it. The synth patches are mainly the M5 and using the OFD as a volume control.

Patch Settings (M5, OFD, Manta)
1. Octaver/Off, Light Overdrive, Off
2. Octaver/Off, High Cut Clean, Fuzz, no filter
3. Octaver/Off, High Cut Clean, Fuzz and Filter
4. Octaver/Off, High Cut Clean, Filter and light fuzz
5. Octaver/Off, High Cut Clean, LPF
6. Octaver/Off, Higher gain Overdrive, Off
7. Attack Synth, Off, Off
8. Attack Synth, Volume Control, Off
9. Octaver, Overdrive, Filter
10. (not shown) All effects bypassed

The SA pedals also have 2 presets each that override the MIDI patch setting. The OFd has a LPF and a light OD. The Manta is using a phaser and a standard filter on the 2nd preset.
